Q's Day - Recipe Modifications

If you tuned in to CTV Morning Live on January 16, you may have seen me discussing added sugars in beverages and making applesauce muffins.  Again, please remember to practice moderation and realize that decreasing sugar is only part of healthy eating and healthy living.

For Q's Day today I would like to know:

How do you change recipes when you cook/bake to make them healthier?

I have been known to add flax, use whole wheat flour, reduce sugar, make smaller portions, etc.

The Applesauce muffins we made on the show came from cooks.com (see below for the recipe).

Happy cooking/baking!
